- From Mirjam ten Have tenhave@attglobal.net
Since 2002 my family and I are living in Japan and I have been studying OmoteSenke tea ceremony since.
However, as per March 2005 we will be moving to Paris and I would like to continue studying tea ceremony.
I have not found a tea ceremony school yet, so any information on any school would be highly appreciated.

- From Alexis Ash Alex@nixnet.com
I moved to Japan in July 03 and started studying Chanoyu in the Urasenke
style. However, there are many different o-temae, and I do not read
enough Japanese (or, in particular, kanji) to be able to make use of the
books which I have seen other students of Tea use. These books have many
pictures illustrating different o-temae, and giving notes and
instructions in the margins. If anyone knows of a book, website or other
resource which I could find to help me in my practice of chanoyu, I
would be very grateful. My sensei does not speak very much English, nor
I very much Japanese, although we both do the best we can!

- From Marge Benjamin marge@margebenj.com
I am especially interested in learning more about the textiles worn in kimono for the tea ceremony. Can you suggest a resource on the web or a book (in English, alas!) on this subject?
Also can someone tell me more about the origins of the toko-bashira? Is it related to the house post in southeast Asia?
Your assistance will be much appreciated, I can assure you.
